MISSION
The mission of Westshore Dermatology, Inc. under the guidance of Kathleen A. Mulligan M.D. and Halle M. Smolinski MSN, is to provide patients the highest level of dermatological care with compassion, integrity and professionalism. Through personal relationships, our staff is committed to serving and educating patients over time, giving complete, and lifelong skin care. Whether patients are interested in medical care or cosmetic procedures, Dr. Mulligan and her staff are dedicated to providing the latest, state-of-the-art treatments to meet your changing needs.
ABOUT KATHLEEN A. MULLIGAN, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Mulligan was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Rocky River, Ohio. She is a fourth-generation physician from both her father's and mother's side of her family. She is the daughter of Drs. James E. Mulligan (who practiced internal medicine) and Paula B. Mulligan (who practiced pediatric medicine) in Cleveland's western suburbs for over 50 years.
She graduated from Hathaway Brown High School, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Case Western Reserve University and her Doctorate from Case Western Reserve Medical School. She completed a one-year residency in internal medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center. She completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University, including serving as Chief Resident for a year.
Dr. Mulligan is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Society of Pediatric Dermatology, American Contact Dermatitis Society, Cleveland Dermatological Society, the Ohio Dermatological Association and the Ohio State Medical Association.
ABOUT HALLE M. SMOLINSKI, MSN, FNP-C
Halle Smolinski is a family nurse practitioner with Westshore Dermatology. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Ohio University, where she graduated with honors. Prior to this, Halle earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University.
Halle underwent extensive training in dermatology under the mentorship of Dr. Kathleen Mulligan. Before joining Westshore Dermatology in 2018, Halle spent five years working with patients in both outpatient hematology/oncology and cardiovascular surgical intensive care. She is board certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
At Westshore Dermatology, Halle is seeing pediatric and adult patients with general dermatologic needs. She is also accepting new patients for cosmetic appointments, including micro-needling, platelet rich plasma treatments, and neuromodulator injections (e.g., Botox®).
